Webinar: Perspectives of peacebuilding actors in the humanitarian-development-peace nexus (July 19)

On 19 July, the International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA) and Professionals in Humanitarian Assistance and Protection (PHAP) will be hosting a webinar to explore how peace actors see their role in the humanitarian-development-peace nexus – including both what humanitarian and development actors can learn from peacebuilding and how peacebuilding efforts can better work towards shared outcomes with other actors in the nexus. This event is particularly targeted to those working in international and national NGOs. Institution for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR): Exploring Nelson Mandela’s legacy (July 19)

Nelson Mandela’s vision of citizenship was shaped by the idea of a world in which the other matters – an ideal grounded in the quest for South Africans to establish a richer sense of their identity as members of a human community. Chinweizu: The First Conference on Outstanding African Thinkers (CFP due July 31)

The Centre for Critical Thinking and Resourceful Research in Africa (CECTRRA)
in collaboration with the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan and the Institute of African Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka announces the first “Outstanding African Thinkers Conference” on Chinweizu. The conference will be held from November 4-7, 2018 and organizers are currently seeking abstracts and panel proposals.
