“Obama Pledges to Help Africa, Pays Tribute to Mandela”
In his trip to Africa, covered by Mark Felsenthal and Jeff Mason in the Daily Maverick, President Obama paid tribute to Nelson Mandela and articulated his thoughts on U.S. relations with the continent, “I think everything we do is designed to make sure that Africa is not viewed as a dependent, as a charity case, but is instead viewed as a partner.”
