CIHA is delighted to post this video of one of our online course alums, Wasye Munanie Musyoni. Wasye is the Sudan Country Programme Manager for Norwegian Church Aid (NCA). Previously, Wasye worked in various capacities in NCA including Economic Empowerment, Food Security and Livelihoods Manager based in Darfur, Sudan, and as Regional Peace Programme Manager covering the Eastern Africa Region based in Nairobi, Kenya, and also as NCA Regional Gender Focal Point for the Eastern Africa Region.

Building Human Solidarity: The Voices of Women is co-sponsored by Global Ministries University, the Institute for Interreligious Dialogue and Islamic Studies at Tangaza University and the Harmony Institute in Kenya.

Wasye’s talk is on “Amazing Grace: A Journey with Women of Faith in Eastern Africa” and her 30+ years of work with women of faith in the humanitarian sector. The session also included Susan Stephenson, who serves as Executive Director of Interfaith Power & Light, a California (US) organization, where she oversees its Regeneration Project. Susan’s talk is on “Staying Sustainable in the Sustainability Movement” that develops and implements issue advocacy and electoral campaigns for environmental and other public interest organizations. The session was moderated by Marita Grudzen, MHS, Associate Director Emerita and a founding member of the Stanford Geriatric Education Center, at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Marita was co-recipient with Chaplain Bruce Feldstein, MD, of the Templeton Award (2001-06) for the medical school required curriculum they developed, Spirituality and Meaning in Medicine, and she has also worked since 2011 with Christian, Muslim and African Indigenous religious leaders in Kenya.
