The Far End of the Road: Achieving UNAIDS 90-90-90

October 25, 2017 @ 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Tamkin Auditorium
UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Hospital

ABOUT THE TALK:

To date, HIV/AIDS has killed over 36 million people around the world. UNAIDS’ ambitious “90-90-90” HIV treatment goals set forth a global strategy to achieve an end to the deadly pandemic: (1) the global health community shall work to ensure that 90% of people with HIV know about their status, (2) that 90% of people diagnosed with HIV receive antiretroviral therapy on a continuous basis, and (3) that 90% of all people receiving antiretroviral therapy achieve viral suppression by 2020. This panel will discuss effective partnerships and interventions that are putting populations traditionally difficult to reach on target to achieving 90-90-90—even at the far end of the road.
